What TOOK ya so long …?

Jim's Story                                         Career Highlights..so far…

“Indy-garage”… that's what I play." Jim Rezac

You won't find Jim trying out for AGT or American Idol.  Now in his 6th decade, the Delaware native has played guitar all his life…but never picked up the pen until 15 yrs ago.

In one fell swoop, Rezac found his voice, his career, his Passion! For the first 5 yrs he'd wake up and think of 11 different reasons why this was too late to become a songwriter.  The songwriter won out!

A couple of self recorded/produced/distributed LPs, a few awards, and tons of festivals later…Jim no longer has those internal conversations.

2024 is proving to be a Big one for the Delaware native.  In the spring, “Telescope”, Rezacs’ first self written/recorded/produced/mastered & distributed LP came out.  His song, "Trying 2 Be An Angel" was picked up by a feature film for release in 2025!    (the movie is 'Meathook'...I'm not making that up!)

The songwriter landed a coveted spot at BETA Hi-Fi Festival and performed/competed at WXPN's World Cafe Live! last July.  And in December, he was the featured artist at WCL's monthly open mic.

And this year will mark Jim’s 6th trip in a row to the Best and Biggest Free outdoor music festival in the U.S…. MUSIKFEST!   Musikfest, a 10-Day festival in Bethlehem has become a favorite showcase for the songwriter.

Jim made his first appearance at Fringe Fest, in Rochester, NY.   Jim will be returning to Rochesters' Music Hall of Fame in Sept. 2025

And a few years ago, the songwriter/performer won Best Song for a Fictional Podcast for his "Theme to Muckey Landing" at the international event, New Jersey Web Fest.   (The podcast itself went on to win Outstanding Comedy as well).

Jim Rezac is a different kind of songwriter.  When the First State musician isn't helping others enjoy the guitar at his humble studio in Wyoming, DE....he's writing.  And writing some more.

Rezac has performed at venues such as The Bitter End (NYC), The Avalon Theater (Easton, MD), Freeman Arts Pavilion in Selbyville, DE; Wilmington Grand (Wilm., DE) The Rockshop Performance Arts Center (Camden, DE) and Songwriter Showcases in NJ, PA, MD, and DE.  He's played MusikFest (Bethlehem, PA) for a number of years now and has been featured on local WBOC-TV about half a dozen times, recently.  His songs & lyrics have been describe as 'honest' ... 'powerful'.  And that's good enough, Jim says.

Please drop us a line to tell us how you found Jim...look for "Tryin 2 Be An Angel" in the movie, Meathook in 2025... check out his monthly releases on Spotify.   And, if you would like him to perform at, open for, or host an event or songwriting circle in your area, please reach out at jim@jimrezac.com  or 302.632.7282.

Rezac would love you to join his FB Private Group, The Fillin' Station (where you'll be an official 'grease monkey') find him @ Jim Rezac Music.

In the meantime, please enjoy just a few of Jim Rezac's original tunes on Spotify or YouTube.

Thanks again!

Peace, Love, TeIes & Gretsches!

The 'Delacaster'

Home of the "Delacaster"

The Delacaster is a one of a kind, custom made, hand made instrument by craftsman, Greg Kindig.   Mr. Kindig made this especially for me in Oct. 2016.  The body is mahogany hand carved into the shape of The First State and features a solitary Tele single coil bridge pickup, cherry wood appointments, and a volume and tone knob replete with the backward facing Delaware quarter… depicting the famous ride of Caesar Rodney on his way to be the first to ratify our Constitution.

Love Those FEstivals!
